Barrier Buster Mission Statement:
To improve the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Anacortes by lowering the barriers that may restrict their participation in public or commercial activities of the community

      Why do we need a Barrier Buster Committee?
21% of Anacortes residents are 65 or older
     - Compared to 14.6% in Skagit county and 11% in Washington
18.5% of Anacortes residents are disabled
     - Over 2,500 people w/ disability

Who are we?
Anacortes Residents with varying disabilities:
     Visual impairment, Hearing impairment and users of Canes, Walkers, Wheelchairs  & Scooters
Including:
      Health care professionals and
     Anacortes Senior Center members & management
